"Giovanni Gastel, Italian, nephew of the legendary movie director Luchino Visconti, discovers at a young age his passion for photography. Amongst the most well known communication and advertising artists, he has done a great amount of editorials as well as hundreds of both national and international campaigns for the most prestigious brands of "prêt à porter", leather, jewelry and cosmetics, which include Tod's, Krizia, Gianfranco Ferré, Canali, Cortefiel (four consecutive campaigns), Prenatal, Malo, Fratelli Rossetti, Pascale Bruni, Re Carlo, Intercos. His symbolic and dream-like images, sometimes surreal, show his constant creative investigation, which at the same time reflect the evolution of the habits and customs of the last twenty years.
